|Summary:||The systems approach to the Earth provides a global view of our planet. It is an essential contribution. It is also complementary to the traditional reductionist analysis. The Earth as a system requires an educational look at the structure of the planet and its evolutionary dynamics from a holistic perspective. Other specific contents will fit into this frame. It is thus one of the key concepts in basic science education that any citizen should receive during their compulsory education.|
