Application of geochemical block theory to lead-zinc resources potential prediction in Tuotuohe area, Qinghai Province

|Summary:||The threshold and different concentration levels of geochemical blocks of lead and zinc in Tuotuohe area were determined with geochemical methodology and technology and the blocks were delineated. The authors have summarized the spatial distribution characteristics of geochemical blocks and traced the possible of occurrence of large to superlarge deposits through a study of the internal structure of the geochemical blocks. The relations between geochemical blocks and the proven deposits of Tuotuohe areas with high prospecting degree were studied and the mineralization coefficients were calculated, which was used in Tuotuohe area to forecast the potential reserve of lead and zinc. It is pointed out that there are great potential to search for lead and zinc mineral resources in these geochemical blocks. The results obtained will play a guiding role in strategic ore resource prognosis and exploration arrangement of this area.|
